Overview
Sideport (stab) blades are used to create the paracentesis or side-port incision that gives secondary instruments — choppers, second instruments, cannulas — easy access to the anterior chamber during cataract surgery. The slim, tapered profile allows a controlled, self-sealing puncture with minimal tissue disturbance.
